No-Fuss Hanging

As you can see in the photos, the letters stand easily on their own. They’re also easy to hang on walls. They have a hanging device built into the back that makes them easy to hang onto a wall.

Custom Themes

I love to create custom themes. A mom contacted me because she wanted a letter set to match the Lambs & Ivy nursery collection she’d picked out. It was a safari sports theme and I had a good time picking out the decorations. The final creation was adorable:

Another customer wanted the word LOVE in pink and brown glitter for her wedding reception.

Holiday Décor

I’ve also been working on some holiday decorations. These letters look especially nice on mantles.

BABY NAME CRAFT PROJECT: Baby Name Wall Hanging

Here’s another baby name art project for you crafty readers…

        « BABY NAME WALL HANGING«

Most craft stores have wooden die cut letters like these. They come in a variety of sizes, shapes and styles.

Simply spell out your baby’s name and paint the letters in a color that complements the nursery. You could use one color for all the letters or be creative and use multiple colors. If you’re already artistically inclined, you could decorate the letters with cute designs like moons and stars, ducks or something else that matches the nursery.

When you’re finished, it will look cute hanging on the nursery’s door or wall.

This is fun and low-cost project you could do on your own or with older siblings — they could decorate their own names, too. Have fun!

BABY NAME CRAFT PROJECT: Beaded Baby Name Necklaces

Looking for baby name craft projects?

Here’s a quick and fun craft project you can do with a big sister or big brother while you’re getting ready for the baby’s arrival.

« BEADED BABY NAME NECKLACE «

Go to your local bead store or an online store if you don’t have one nearby and buy letter beads that spell out the older sibling’s name and the baby’s name. Here are some letter samples. As you can see, there are lots of different styles.

Next, string the beads together to spell the children’s names. Divide the names with a cute separator bead in the shape of a heart, star or other cute object. When it’s finished, the older sibling can wear it as a necklace.

This is a very easy-to-make project for kids! Plus, it’s a way to get your older children involved and ready for the new baby.

        « OTHER IDEAS«

1.       Instead of names, you could use beads to spell out phrases like “Big Sister” or “World’s Best Brother”

2.       Make two at the same time — one for the big sister or big brother to wear and another to give to the baby when he or she is old enough

3.       Every family member could make one with his or her own name on it

4.       Instead of a necklace, make a bracelet or keychain

Not only is this a fun and inexpensive project, but it will be a keepsake you can save forever! Have fun!
