I'm glad there are some poetry fans out there reading this! Thanks for sharing another Blake poem. It is powerful...it doesn't touch on baby naming, but that's OK. :)

Like many of Blake's *Songs of Innocence*, "Infant Joy" has a corrollary *Song of Experience*. It is called "Infant Sorrow", also a powerful poem, although perhaps less helpful in the baby naming process!

My mother groaned, my father wept,
Into the dangerous world I leapt;
Helpless, naked, piping loud,
Like a fiend hid in a cloud.

Struggling in my father's hands,
Striving against my swaddling bands,
Bound and weary, I thought best
To sulk upon my mother's breast.
