I think Saffy would make an adorable nickname option for Sapphira. Its such a pretty name, too bad the associations in the Bible are not so great. Same goes for Delilah. Delilah has such a beautiful and melodic sound, Lila is exotic and sassy.

Other names I like on this list are,

Adah
Eve
Dinah
Drusilla-I think the nickname Dru is adorable
Jemima-Jem and Mimi are sweet nickname options
Keturah-with the nickname Kettie
Keziah-Kissy is so cute as a nickname
Naomi
Phoebe
Prisca-love this
Salome

I totally agree -- Adah is a great alternative to some of the more common "A" names. I'm not sure there's one definitive pronounciation of this name, you say Ay-Duh, I say A-duh. You could also spell it Ada.

In case you missed it, I wrote a whole post about the name Elizabeth. Great name. :)

My favorite name from the biblical list is Adah, do you think that's pronounced Ay - Duh? I love it as a cute alternative to Ava, Ann and all those more common names!
